Fast, long range and simple, the Havoc is a smooth flying paper airplane that can fly almost any mission. This plane is very adaptable and as a result its a great backyard buccaneer and an excellent classroom cruiser.

TAA USAF Designation: A126-1

Step 1: Materials

1 Piece of 8.5 by 11 inch Paper
Scissors (advanced models only)

Step 2: Length and Corner Folding

Take your paper and fold it along its length. Then pull the corners in and fold them into the center.

Step 3: Nose and Security Folding

Pull the nose down along the bottom of the corner folds. Then pull the corners into the center, meeting the center crease 1 inch above its pointy, triangular end. Then pull the small triangle that remains over the two folds.

Step 4: Wing and Winglet Folding

Fold your airplane up in half. Then, with your ruler and pencil, mark points 7/8 of an inch out from the center crease and from the wingtips at the trailing edge. Fold the wings down along this mark, keeping the angle of incidence at 0 degrees by aligning the trailing edge of the wing with that of the fuselage. Once each wing is folded, fold the winglets inward along their marks. Keep the winglets parallel with the fuselage by folding their trailing edges are aligned with that of the wing.

Step 5: Taping

Tape your Havoc at its front, rear and across its wing root near the back.

Step 6: Flight

The Havoc is very easy to fly. At launch, give the airplane a slow to moderate throw for slowest flights, and a fast throw for long range, high speed flights. Additional surfaces applicable include flaps, slats, elevators, ailerons, elevons, rudders, air brakes and an electronic warfare tail. Enjoy!

I got confused on step three, where you hold the airplane to throw it. :) How did you do that?

What was confusing about step 3?

For launch, hold the Havoc at its triangular security fold.
