Begin by folding your paper in half along it's length. Then pull the corner into the center. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3: Nose Pull Down And Corner Folding

Pull the nose down along the bottom of the corner folds. Flip the paper over. Then pull the corners in again. Then allow them to open.

Step 4: Cover Folding

On the side of the paper with the corners folded down over another layer of paper, fold the paper up to the top of its diamond. Then tuck this paper under the diamond.

Step 5: More Corner Folding

Fold the corners of the paper into the preexisting crease as shown. Do this on both sides.

Step 6: Wing And Winglet Folding

Along its center, fold the paper up. About 3/4 of an inch above the center, fold down the wings. Keep the trailing edges both parallel with that of the fuselage. From about 3/4 of an inch in from the wingtips, fold the winglets up. Make sure they are parallel with the fuselage by making their backs parallel with that of the wings' trailing edges.

Step 8: Flight

The Super Spectre is a simple, forgiving paper airplane. You can throw it like a dart or like a glider and it will fly well. It can fly at high and low speed. Fast throws and high speeds are usually the best conditions for long range flights. Enjoy!

How do you get from the first picture to the second picture?

You pull the top corners of the paper into the crease seen in the first picture.

Fast response :D
Thank you! The shadows got me confused for a little. Love your instructables -- built 6 of them already. I tell people it's for my nephews but I think I'm having more fun.

do you make airfoil planes and are all the planes you make by you

Could you elaborate on what you mean by airfoil airplanes? As for aircraft that belong to me, all posted are my own design or developments unless otherwise noted.
I've done it! Nice paper airplane... But, i found some dificulteis in some steps...
