Let's say we have 3/4 x 4/7. Just multiply straight across. 7 x 4 = 28 4 x 3 = 12. So the fraction is 12/28 . But that fraction can be reduced by 4. 12 divided by 4 = 3. 28 divided by 4 = 7 so the fraction is 3/7.
