Introduction: How to Perform Self Hypnosis
Self hypnosis is a great way to improve your mental and physical health. And to top it off it's free!
Anyone can do it. Self hypnosis just takes learning a few instructions and some practice. Here are some simple steps...
Step 1: Get Comfy
Find a quiet place and get comfortable, either seated or led down. Don't cross your legs as this will cause discomfort later.
Step 2: Relax
Close your eyes. Take 10 deep breaths in through your nose, and out through your mouth. Say to yourself the word "relax" on every out breath.
Step 3: Deeper Relaxed
Spend a few minutes focussing on your breathing. Notice how it is cool when you breath in, and warmer when you breath out. Notice other sensations if you can.
Step 4: Imagery
Imagine feeling lighter and lighter until you start to float up to your ceiling. Take a moment to look at the room you're in from this perspective, as clearly as you can.
Now imagine floating above the building you are in. Again take a good look around you. Notice how things look from this perspective. Notice familiar landmarks.
Step 5: Float Off
Now you can float off to anywhere you choose. It could be a tropical beach or a beautiful garden for example. Go somewhere that you will find blissful relaxation.
