Introduction: How to Shave

About: Weird guy. Kind of big. Professional upright bass player, computer programmer, and video gamer.

Shaving is a basic form of hygiene. It can keep unwanted hair off of areas of your body. In this tutorial, I will be demonstrating how to shave your face.

NOTE: I should've included a before picture. Didn't cross my mind at all until after I finished...

Step 1: Acquire Shaving Cream

If you don't already have any shaving cream, it can be found at local stores such as Walmart. It doesn't technically matter what kind you acquire. As long as it is shaving cream.

Step 2: Acquire Razor

Razors can also be found at local stores (also) such as Walmart. There are a few different types of razors. The one I will be using in this demonstration is shown above. I would recommend using a similar razor.

Step 3: Spread Shaving Cream Over Desired Areas

Squirt some shaving cream onto your hand and spread it across the desired area. You don't need a lot of shaving cream. A very thin layer is plenty. Make sure you spread it evenly. As you can see in the above image, I failed at doing so....

Step 4: Apply Razor Blades to Desired Areas and Scrape

Take your razor in your hand, press the blade side against your face, and begin pulling it around your face, preferably in small streaks. After one or two streaks, wash it off with water and repeat until you have shaved off all of the desired hair.

Step 5: Clean and Rinse Off Face

After shaving off all of the desired hair, grab a towel, and wipe off all of the excess shaving cream. At this point, I like to get really close in the mirror and inspect my face for any missed hairs and repeating the previous steps on those missed areas. After that, get your face a little wet and dry with a towel. This will make sure all of the dried shaving cream is off of your face. After this I would recommend washing off your razor one last time. And then you can walk away with either a nice and smooth face, or a scruffy, sandpapery face like mine!
