So you bought an R4 for your DS and the microSD adapter doesn't work. You probably don't want to send it back to hong kong. Here's an easy fix.

i got my r4i gold rts card for my new 3ds xl from Thegamerdepot, everything worked out just fine. i couldn't be happier with this card, it works flawlessly on my 3ds console.

I received my R4i sdhc card last week, and the package also includes a USB card reader like yours, it is working fine so far, thanks for your guide, useful, i will need it in future. I just want to buy r4i sdhc 3ds later, another reader, the reader is very cheap but a must have for our sd card.

You wouldn't use the whole roll >.> It could cost less than 10 cents, depending on how mush you use. You can use your neighbour's duct tape and he wouldn't care.
