Step 1: Meet the Age Requirements

Step 2: Fill the Application and Take Courses
Make sure that you have completed specific pre-licensing courses, because most states require you to do so. These usually amount to 40-50 hour courses held in a facility which is accredited by the state. These courses are not free, and you need to complete them before your license can be issued. Again, this is not the case in all the states, as there are a few states that require credit hours in a college that offers real estate courses.

Step 4: Find a Broker and Take Post-Licensing Courses
These are the steps and most important requirements that you need to meet in order to become a real estate agent. Regarding the skills that you need, they are a completely different story and can be the subject of a new article. One thing is certain though: hard work and commitment always pays off in the end.
