Introduction: How to Build a McGangbang

Picture of How to Build a McGangbang

I haven't found an instructable for this, and I thoroughly believe it deserves one.

This one became popular on the internet around 2006, although there's evidence of its existence from as far back as 2003.

The actual construction of the sandwich varies from place to place, but for the purpose of economics, we'll choose its cheapest form which is only $2.16.

Now, I know you're hungry, so let's begin.

Step 1: Collecting Components

Alright. Now it's true that in some places you can order a McGangbang by name, but when I said, "Yeah, I'd like a McGangbang." I was pretty sure that the authorities were almost called. I'm just glad the counter clerk didn't bring mace with her to work. So now I just opt to just order the two sandwiches separately and assemble them myself.

You will need to order a double cheeseburger and a McChicken, which at the time of the writing will come to $2.16

From what I understand the original sandwich, created 7 or so years ago, consisted of two single cheeseburgers and a spicy McChicken, which costs about a dollar more and there was a waste of one bun. You can, however, order a double and a spicy and only spend bit more extra if you'd like the little extra kick.

Step 2: McAssembly

Picture of McAssembly

Now for the assembly. You're going to want to carefully separate the double cheeseburger in half horizontally, right between the two patties.

Once that's done, there's a couple different ways to place the McChicken. The traditional route would be to place the McChicken, bun and all, right between the two beef patties. However, some will opt to remove the bun from the McChicken and use the chicken and toppings alone to a) reduce the size of the sandwich so it can be bitten into more easily and/or b) reduce the amount of carbs in the meal. (Yes, I have witnessed reason b being used by one of my friends. Names will not be disclosed.)

After you have placed your chicken sandwich in your preferred manner, it's time to complete this legendary meal by effectively reassembling the double cheeseburger around the McChicken. Your finished product should appear as shown, if you used the traditional method, that is.

Step 3: Enjoy the Taste of a Legend

Eat your sandwich. The sandwich alone is enough to fill me up, but some people will order fries or even some sort of a dessert, such as an apple pie. I like to enjoy mine with a McFlurry for a balanced blend of salty and sweet.

Here's a pic I snapped of my sister eating her first McGangbang (She attacked me in an attempt to delete this picture, so I feel obligated to post it on the internet now.):

A friend of mine ordered one a while ago on a band trip! He hiked up his pants (all the way up), looked the cashier straight in the eye and said "I would like one McGangbang, please". The guy didn't even flinch, he was so swamped with orders. He said "All right, here you go, have a nice day." And that was that. However, he only gave us the two sandwiches, and he charged us like 8 bucks for it! Now, I can save some money and eat my favorite McDonald's sandwich, thanks to you!

Interesting Idea, Although I personally find Maccas revolting it would be neat to try with a homemade burger or in a real burger joint.

Kudos to for the instructable.

Dude, the Spicy Mc. Chickens are wonderful! Sometimes I think they are the only good tasting thing at Mc. Donalds, and only a dollar!

I'm totally going to try and order one of these.

We call that "The King's Orgy" in Wisconsin.

personally I don't like fast food chicken so its a nonstarter for me, nicely done "ible" though. What I do, do however is buy 2 dbl chsburgers from the dollar menu and get a hot mustardopen both sandwichs, feed the seagulls one roll, add the mustard between the meat layers as I reassemble and occasionally add a fries layer before snacking out
