About: Hi All! I like to learn, Period. It does not matter what it is. I then try to pass any and all knowledge that I find and learn to all of you. Which is why this site is perfect for doing so!

This instructable will show all of you people who could not wait to jailbreak your IPhones from a tetherd jailbreak to a untethered one.
If you have a  iPhone 4, 4S, 3GS, or iPod touch 4th gen, and want to convert to an untethered Jailbreak version, it is now possible.

WARNING!!! Jailbreaking your device WILL void the warranty, THIS INSTRUCTABLE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL USE ONLY!!! ANY DAMAGE THAT YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE BY FOLLOWING THIS IS YOUR OWN DOING!

THINGS YOU WILL NEED

Your IPhone or IOs 6x Device
A program called Cydia (google it)
A program called evasi0n (google this as well)
A program called TinyUmbrella (google)
A computer/Laptop Running Windows or Mac OS

Step 1:

Before you start the jailbreak process on your iPhone 5 (and other devices), you'll need to backup your SHSH blobs for your iOS 6.

It's important to save these files because then you'll be able to downgrade back to iOS 6.1 if newer firmware is released or an error happens during the jailbreak process.

If you don't save the SHSH blobs, there will be no way to get back to your original firmware.

To backup your SHSH blobs:

Download TinyUmbrella and run the app.
Connect your device and then select it from the upper left-hand corner of TinyUmbrella.
Click on the Advanced tab and uncheck the following: Save ALL Available SHSH and Request SHSH From Cydia.

Step 2:

Click on Save SHSH and your blob should be saved onto your computer. It will show up under Log if it is successful.

Now that your SHSH blobs are saved, you'll need to do a few more things before you start the jailbreak

A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.5 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64).
Backup your device to iTunes (to save apps, photos, etc.).
Disable the lock passcode (it won't allow you to jailbreak the device with it).

Step 3:

To begin the untethering process, you'll need to:

Open Cydia on your device and tap on Search.
Search for evasi0n and install the evasion 6.x Untether package.

When finished installing, reboot/respring your device.
 You should now be untethered.

Your device should reboot completely untethered, allowing you to now reboot your device without having to be connected to a computer. If there are any issues with your applications not working 100% or your weather app is crashing:

Open Cydia, go to Changes and install the new UIKit Tools update, or...Search Cydia for UIKit Tools and install.

Step 4:

This tool is compatible with all devices running iOS 6.0 through 6.1, including the iPod touch (4, 5), iPad (2, 3, 4), iPad Mini, iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), and most importantly...the iPhone 5!

Jailbreaking Your iPhone 5

Step 5:

The process will then continue, taking about 5 minutes in total. Your device will then restart (a couple of times is normal).
