About: I like to make and play instruments, camp, hike, fish, and play video games.

This instructable will teach you how to create simple plastic boxes with just a notebook and a few tools. With skills you learn from this instructable  it is possible to make most papercraft models in plastic.

As this is my first instructable please leave any suggestions on how to make it and future others better in the comments below.

Step 1: Materials/Tools

Materials:
- Notebook with a plastic cover
- Super Glue
- Template

Tools:
- Ruler
- Sharpie Marker
- X-Acto or other craft knife
- Scissors
- Cutting Board
- Clothes Pins(Optional)

Step 2: To Create a Template

Using a 3d modeling program to create the basic shape. Export to a file that a papercraft creator program can read. Use the program to "unfold" the model. Print out your template.

Visit this instructable for more help.

Step 3: Step 1

Print and cut out your template. Use a ruler to help keep your lines straight if you are using a X-Acto knife.

Step 4: Step 2

Use your sharpie to outline your template onto your notebook.

Step 5: Step 3

Cut out the sheet of plastic with your scissors inside the lines that your drew earlier.

Step 6: Step 4

Use your X-Acto knife and your ruler to score any folds in the finished product. Make sure you do no cut all the way through.

Pre-fold the edges to make sure every all the folds are scored correctly.

Step 7: Step 5

Glue the tabs to the correct locations. I find it helpful to hold the two pieces together while the glue is being first applied for a minute. If you wish to make the bond stronger use your clothes pins to hold the pieces together for an extended period of time.
