Introduction: How to Crochet, the Man Himself, Donald Trump
The political debates and protests coming to a close, I decided it was time to put aside our differences and do what all of you love, I assume because you're reading this, and crochet. I had just finished up my last crochet project and seeing as I'm on winter break, I have nothing to do. I decided I haven't ever tried to make a crochet pattern before so I looked on the internet for some ideas and then I saw Donald Trump in an add and I thought, "Hey, that would be a pretty cool thing to make," since he's going to be our new commander and chief. This was a really fun thing to make and have with me. I think a cool part about this is that when you make this doll you can change the hair, skin, or clothes colors as you please. The clothes are even made to be taken on and off. Even if you’re not a Donald Trump fan you can change what you choose the doll to look like.
Level: Intermediate → I recommend at least some experience crocheting to have knowledge of reading patterns.

Finishing off: Cut string usually long enough to sew onto another piece for appropriate circumstances and pull the string through the hole that is around the crochet hook. This makes a knot and won’t allow any work to be pulled out.
* The number on the end of each rnd is how many crochet stitches you should have in a row or around.
Sewing notes:
- When sewing (in general for all sewing), sew twice into each loop/sc to make the sewn part look like its own sc row and not look like sewing. Only sew single/once on each sc on suit jacket under the arms to avoid thick underarms that will not let the jacket stay by the sides of the body.

Mouth
- With the blue, cut a string and tie two ends to crocheted yarn where the face should be, then make knots around the skin yarn and pull the rest of the blue string through the face and cut.
- Do the same with the skin color above and below the blue
- (You can use white for teeth appearance instead of blue) Eyes Use eyes that snap together (craft stores have them)
Hair
- Cut a piece of yarn twice as long as your pointer finger
- Pull the string through the back of top of head and make a knot at the top and with one side of the string, pull the knot inside the head.
- Get a small crochet hook and find a part of the hair colored string inside the head and pull it out with the small crochet hook. When you pull it out, keep it there until you get a piece of yarn about double your pointer finger and use a needle to pull half of it through the loop created with the crochet hook and under the hair colored piece on top of the head. Make two knots and let the strand hang there for the hair. Repeat multiple times across the piece of string. Then make two more “root” pieces on the sides and in the back and let them hang down. The hair can be cut later according to how you like.
- In the back I pulled little pieces of yarn through the “skin” with the small crochet hook and didn’t knot them just to fill in the area.
Eyebrows
- Cut a string as long as your pointer finger. Pull the string through the part of the head above the eyes and make a knot and with one side of the string, pull the knot inside the face.
