DC2TOG (double crochet 2 together) is a really cool and easy decreasing stitch!
Basically, it takes 2 stitches and combines them into 1! So simple to do…and if you already know how to double crochet, then this will be a breeze for you!

Perfect for reducing your stitches and shaping projects!

Step 1: Yarn Over

Step 2: Insert Hook Through Stitch to Be Worked.

Step 3: Yarn Over

Step 4: Draw Back Through Stitch

Step 5: You Now Have 3 Loops on Your Hook!

Step 6: Yarn Over

Step 7: Draw Back Through First 2 Loops Only.

Step 8: Yarn Over

Step 9: Insert Your Hook Into Next Stitch.

Step 10: Yarn Over

Step 11: Draw Back Through Stitch

Step 12: There Are Now 4 Loops on Your Hook!

Step 13: Yarn Over

Step 14: Draw Back Through First 2 Loops Only.

Step 15: Yarn Over

Step 16: Draw Back Through the Last 3 Loops on Your Hook

Step 17: You Have Now Finished a DC2TOG!

You can see in the photo above, the 2 stitches that were double crocheted together in purple. When you work your next row, these will now be 1 stitch.

Just repeat steps 1-14 for every DC2TOG you want to make!
