I was the floor manager of a comedy club for the better part of a decade and saw all sorts of acts come through. One week the headliner was a comic magician. He impressed us with his fire-eating routine and after one show the bartender and I talked to him about his act. He told us he could teach us in five minutes if we were game. We were.
The trick here is that there's really no trick. You are putting very real fire inside your head. You will burn yourself a bit. Nothing major but after doing it a few times you get used to the light singe on your tongue and your taste buds return to normal in a day or so. The hardest part of the act is to get over the psychological component that tells you not to stick flaming things in your face. Once you've conquered that you're home free.
Because this is a dangerous activity I feel the need to warn this stunt should not be performed while intoxicated/chemically altered. Please think about your safety and the safety of your audience.

To begin, we'll need to create a couple torches. I take two wire clothes hangers and snip the bottom portion off at equal lengths.

Though, your fuel is actually really fine for fireeating, but never ever try firebreathing or any other firetrick with alcoholic beverages, this can get really dangerous.
It is better to use Kerdan (it's a french brand I think, I can't remember the name it takes in the US), which is a petrol derivated liquid on which you have close control of the temperature of ignition and fumes' flamability, a guarantee you won't have with alcohol. These informations (temp of ignition and vapors) are very important in other tricks because of the flame return, and for problems of self ignition right into your mouth, and other happy eventualities...
In summary : alcohol = good for fireeating (fireeating increases your tongue and roof cancer risks)
oil derivated substancy = good for any other use, though contact with skin and mucosity is pretty dangerous (don't ever swallow, and increases lungs and stomach and tongue/roof cancer risks).
Don't forget : fire performances are ALL dangerous for your health, ALL increase your cancer risks, and other nice stuff.
Again, good ible, but it was necessary to add some security disclaimer.
I've changed the into pic. Is that better?
Glad you like it!
