Step 1: Safety First

The first step is to make sure your gun is not loaded and to take out the magazine.

this doesn't show how to strip a pistol, it shows how you strip YOUR pistol :P

This is an incomplete instructable, and only works on guns of this design.

Is that a beretta 92fs rep. ?
thewoodcarver says: Apr 22, 2008. 3:22 PM
lot different then a 1911 , a S&W, or a Kel-Tec field strips ....thought it was going to be a real gun
grimfig (author) in reply to thewoodcarverApr 22, 2008. 4:18 PM
oh ya i guess i should say airsoft gun instead
Vertigo666 in reply to grimfigMay 15, 2008. 9:01 PM
My airsoft 1911, you just push/pull out the slide lock lever.
Hitman227 in reply to Vertigo666Mar 6, 2011. 6:03 AM
Same.
thewoodcarver in reply to Vertigo666May 15, 2008. 11:26 PM
On my 1911 I have to drop the mag eject the bullet check the chamber to make sure it is unloaded push down on the front of the barrel and move a key to the right making sure the recoil spring don't fly our ...on the smaller ones I have to stick a bent piece of metal in a slot move the slide back after I make sure it is unloaded...my old .38 S&W model 10 revolvers are the easiest to clean followed by the Glocks....he changed the title since I posted the above I thought it was a real gun when I wrote comment ...I have since gotten my son and myself 2 air soft type knock off's to see what all the hype I see posted about them was about shoots a small orange pellet lots of fun takes me back to my red ryder bb gun days and yes I do have both eyes

ChefZombie says: Apr 21, 2009. 5:44 PM
This doesn't work on all airsoft pistols.
Zansion in reply to ChefZombieNov 1, 2009. 12:04 PM
This works on all professional grade gas blow back airsoft pistol. if yours doesn't, i suggest you trash the pistol and get out of the sport.
ChefZombie in reply to ZansionOct 22, 2010. 1:25 PM
Chill, I meant different guns have different ways of field stripping such as a m9 doesn't field strip the same way as a desert eagle.
negative nancy in reply to ZansionOct 21, 2010. 9:16 PM
No it doesn't. Most gas pistols depending on the brand, and the model the replica is based off of, have different ways of being taken apart and cared for.
N1CK4ND0 says: Mar 21, 2009. 6:37 AM
What is the gun you used in your picture?
Your Average Guy says: Dec 5, 2008. 11:32 AM
Yeah i have a SIG like that. Ive been playing airsoft for a couple years and only have a spring pistol. hahaha.
michael9319 says: Nov 29, 2008. 5:36 PM
good instructable, but this only works for the m9 series, if you have an m1911 it will strip differently, along with the glock series, desert eagle, walther, and other oddballs like the cz series, and some of the SIG's.

i used to do this to annoying little kids in my neighborhood, then say i broke my gun, then reassemble it in a few seconds and shoot them
grimfig (author) in reply to finnsterSep 29, 2008. 7:10 PM
What was there reaction?
finnster in reply to grimfigSep 30, 2008. 12:05 PM
screaming and running away(they were always stealing my stuff)
grimfig (author) in reply to finnsterSep 30, 2008. 1:25 PM
That'll teach 'em.
MD_Willington says: Apr 22, 2008. 6:37 PM
The lever is the take down lever, actually the take down you are showing is similar to a real take down, I do not have it on video but the take down for my S&W 5906 9x19mm pistol is fairly similar, as it is with my Taurus 9x19mm pistol...

Thanks man. I've been trying to do this all day and I couldent figure out how to slide the bolt out. haha now I can try and mod it.
Storm950 says: Jul 1, 2008. 2:16 PM
Shouldn't the instruction manual explain how to do this? Although at least this instructable is of high quality.
grimfig (author) in reply to Storm950Jul 1, 2008. 4:31 PM
Well I got mine from Airsplat.com and it did not come with instructions on how to do this so.
ac1D says: Apr 21, 2008. 4:00 PM
I add lubrifiant on mine, i dunno if it make it stronger! any airsoft expert can tell me ?
grimfig (author) in reply to ac1DApr 22, 2008. 2:03 PM
why do you add lubrifiant
Vertigo666 in reply to grimfigMay 15, 2008. 9:01 PM
Why wouldn't you? Doesn't make it inherently stronger, might make it easier to slide.
benthekahn in reply to Vertigo666Jun 28, 2008. 12:06 AM
And it would increase the power.
