Introduction: How to Find Out Your School's Wifi Password
Welcome to my first ever instructable! As you might be able to see, today I am going to be showing you how to find out your school's wifi password.
If your school's WiFi has a web-based login, then I'm afraid this method won't work, sorry about that.
You will need:
- A School Laptop (Windows 10)
Let's get started!
Step 1: Getting Cmd Up on a Restricted User Account
Open Notepad, and paste in the following. (Without the gaps, in editing this it forces you to have gaps!):
set /p cmd=C:\Enter Command:
(End of Paste)
Save the file as "WhateverYouWantToCallThisFile.bat". Make sure to change the txt to all files. I recommend that you save it on the desktop, so it's easier to access later.
Step 2: Running CMD
Navigate to where you saved the .bat file. Double click it and with luck, it should be open and working fine, ready to carry out the commands.
Step 3: Finding Out the Name for the School's WiFi
Type "netsh wlan show profiles" to find out the proper name for your school wifi. If your school is anything like mine, you should see only one network.
Ok, so I'm using my own laptop, so that's why it looks a bit different to what you might expect as I have connected to so many networks.
In this example, we're going to be finding out the password for the network "dad_is_awesome"
Step 4: Finding Out the WiFi Password
Ok, now that you know the name of your school's wifi, you can continue with this next part.
In cmd type: "netsh wlan show profiles name='School Wifi Name Here' key=clear"
With luck, you should see your school's wifi password staring right back at you. Now you can just go onto your own device and use the password!
