Introduction: How to Get Rid of Hiccups in One Step

Ever eat too fast or laugh too much and get the hiccups?  Well, here is the method that works for me.

And the solution is... Balsamic vinegar! I have no idea why this works, but whenever I get the hiccups and want to get rid of them, I just get a spoonful of Balsamic vinegar, tip my head up, and drink it! The only thing is to be sure that it coats your throat. The one time that it didn't coat my throat all the way, it didn't work and I had to do it again. The only problem is that it tastes DISGUSTING.

Well, that's it! Hope you like it, and if you have any questions or comments just write them in the comments section, and I'll answer them as soon as I can.

I have never tried this remedy before. I'll try it the next time I have a bad case of hiccups. One way I found works for me (and I don't know if it's a coincidence or what) is swallowing a mouthful of air. I suggested it to a few friends, and it worked for them. The working method may just depend on the person! :D

Hmm, on Wikipedia it says that hiccups may be caused by too much air in the stomach. If that's the case, why do you think that swallowing air would get them to go away? I'll have to try it and see if it works for me.

To stop someone else from hiccupping you ask them a completely idiotic question. The one my wife taught me was:
"What is the difference between an orange? A bicycle, because pants have no sleeves."

Its absolute nonsense, the person will look at you like you've gone mental, but it has worked on every person I ever tried it on. I think that after the first couple of spasms, hiccups are all in your head. The phrase completely breaks their train of thought and they 'forget' to hiccup.

Try it out next time.

That's interesting, I'll try to remember to try it out.
