Have just cut my first pineapple from a top I had planted in the spring of 2005. Really had no directions except cut a top off and plant it in the dirt. That is what I did and when the plant got too big for the pot it was in I transplanted. I really had no idea that one day I would get a pineapple. Since I will bring the plant inside this winter would you recommend putting new dirt in the pot next spring? Plant looks good lots of new growth. Learned a lot from what you wrote though.
