How to Hide Files & Programs on your Computer From Nosy People

Step 55, definetly 5

Well that wraps how to hide, but some good tips to keep it hidden are to:

  • Make sure whatever program you use to view your files has a view history that can be cleared
  • Make sure that any hidden programs didn't put a desktop shortcut on your desktop
  • It is a good idea to convert your image files to bitmap, that way you can view them in MS Paint, because view history is easily cleared by simply viewing more .bmp files until the recently viewed documents list found under "File" is cleared of your "hidden" files

Any questions and comments I would be pleased to answer. I've got this Instructable in the "Tool Tips" contest, constructive criticism and a rating never hurts...
