Step 6Extracting the keyvault, injecting and flashing XBR

Select the proper XBR for your motherboard included in the rar file and put it in your nandpro folder.  Rename it to xbr.bin to make things easier.

Open up cmd, navigate to your nandpro folder and type

nandpro nand.bin: -r16 kv.bin 1 1
nandpro nand.bin: -r16 config.bin 3de 2

Then typenandpro xbr.bin: -w16 kv.bin 1 1
nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 config.bin 3de 2

Now for the flashing!

Just type and wait 35 minutes
nandpro lpt: -w16 xbr.bin

Amazing Instructable... but like thugzbaby said, it needs some updating. On my jtag, i followed the software-side to this, Set up the NAND flashing cables using this: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=691873 ; and Installing the jtag wires using this: http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=691873.

Those links you posted are the same - if this wasn't intentional, can you please update whichever one is wrong? Might be interested in doing this.

this part of the instructable needs to be explained better. What you are doing here is extarcting the kv and the config information from your original nand dump and then putting it into the modded nand dump for your motherboard. After you add your kv and config from your original nand to the modded nand dump you then flash the modded nand dump to your motherboard and presto you have a jtag! I must say that this instructable was the easiest directions I could find on the internet for making a jtag and I highly recommend it to anyone. I just think I could use some updating because of the new wiring for jtags that you can use.

This is because of 1-2 reasons. When you execute the command, you are not in the nandpro folder (or at least where ever your nand file is) or you naned your XBR image "xbr.bin" That being said, you would have to do this: ex- "nandpro xbr.bin.bin: -w16 config.bin 3de 2"

Ya im probably typing something wrong.... iv dumped my nand already and have two identical copies..
i just cant get the

nandpro nand.bin: -r16 kv.bin 1 1
nandpro nand.bin: -r16 config.bin 3de 2

commands to work... my directory is C:nandpro20b for my nand folder... how would i have to type it? i have my backup nand saved as nand.bin in my nand pro folder...
