How to Make Delicious, Healthy Homemade Potato Chips With a Microwave!

Step 2Cut The Potato

Cut The Potato
Cut the potato into thin slices, as thin or as thick as you'd like.

Using a vegetable or cheese slicer (often found on a side of a cheese grater) works well.

The thinner the slice, the more quickly it will cook and the crispier it will be.

Do you really get nice, thin slices using a knife? (And, um, is that a Band-Aid on your finger?)

I actually just tried these; started with the vegetable slicer but ended up using a knife - it's not as hard as I thought it would be! And they turned out great - a little too much pepper this first time, but still great. Thanks - my grandsons will love these, and I won't have to feel guilty for making them.
