Introduction: How to Make Falafel

Ingredients needed for falafel

  • Handful of cilantro
  • Handful of parsley
  • pita bread
  • garlic
  • flour
  • bread crumbs to coat pattie
  • cumin to taste
  • salt n pepper to taste
  • garlic powder to taste
  • paprika (not too much)
  • olive oil
  • hummus
  • 15 0z garbanzo beans (chickpeas)

Step 1: Place Ingredients in Processor

In a food processor grab 1/4 parts cilantro 1/4 parsley and 1/2 of the mix will consist of the garbanzo beans now for the climactic part add some onion and garlic .

Step 2: Add Your Condiments

Once all solids are in add all your condiments in now remember you can always add but you can't take away so add your condiments little by little you want to mix it gradually no 1 likes salty food. Once everything is in mix until you get a coarse mix you still want it to be crumbly!

Step 3: Add Flour

Once you have everything in a bowl add some flour and yet again don't forget add little by little the reason were adding flour is to help hold together the patties were going to form

Step 4: Form Patties

Once all mixed up form your falafel now you can make balls or patties me personally I like patties easier to cook. After you form your pattie coat the whole thing in bread crumbs prepare for the frying pan next.

Step 5: Fry and Serve

Warm up some oil and fry the falafel patties on each side for 4-6 mins or until golden brown and crispy let them cool down. Grab your pita and spread hummus on it grab a pattie and cut it in half and top with some cucumber salad and ENJOY!!
