Introduction: How to Make Mini Auto Rotation Table Fan

Picture of How to Make Mini Auto Rotation Table Fan

Hello guys, In this Instructable I will instruct you to make your own mini auto rotation table fan with less number of components.

This device can be powered with 9v source and produce amazing breeze . This fan oscillates wit an angle atmost 120 degrees, where we can get the breeze with in a sector of 120 degrees.

Step 1: Components Required

Picture of Components Required

Switches - 2 [ Banggood]

Propeller - 1 [ Banggood ]

Gear Motor - 1 [ Banggood ]

3V DC Motor - 1 [ Banggood ]

Wheel - 1 [ Banggood ]

9V Battery with clip - 1 [ Banggood ]

Wooden scale 15x3cm - 1

Wooden Block - 1 (sufficient size according to size of propeller. If propeller size is large it will collide to base)

Step 2: Watch Video First!

This video gives you all the information you need to build your own mini auto rotating fan. During the next steps however I will present you some additional information to make the project even simpler.

Step 3: Assembling the Setup

Note: Each step follows each picture in order, it will be helpful while doing.

  1. Cut the wooden scale as shown in the figure.
  2. Drill a hole at the edge of the wheel.
  3. Attach the geared motor to wooden block with hot glue.
  4. Fix the wheel to the motor and fix a bolt in the drilled hole of the wheel.
  5. Now place wooden scale on the wheel as shown.
  6. Drill a hole just above the motor and insert a nail into it though the hole of the wooden scale.

Step 4: Wiring

Note: Each step follows each picture in order, it will be helpful while doing.

  1. Solder the positive wire of the Gear motor and dc motor to positive terminal of the battery clip and negative wire of the Gear motor and dc motor to negative terminal of the battery clip.
  2. Cut the positive wire of gear motor and solder the switch.
  3. Cut the positive wire of dc motor and solder the switch.
  4. Stick the double sided tape on the wooden scale edge such that to form a groove it will be support for dc motor.
  5. Fill the groove with hot glue and place the motor carefully.
  6. Apply some glue to the switches and fix to the wooden block.
  7. Attach the battery to battery clip.
