How to Make Play Dough

Time: 15 mins
Ingredients
2 cups flour
3/4 cup salt
2 Tablespoons vegetable oil
2 Tablespoons cream of tartar
2 cups water
3 to 6 drops of Food coloring

*Makes a large batch.

Step 1: Heat & Mix

Directions
1. In a sauce pan mix oil, water, salt, cream of tartar and food coloring.
2. Heat on medium heat for 5 minutes. Mix well.
3. Portland mixture into a large bowl and add 2 cups flour.
4. Mix. Add spoonfuls of flour until the mixture feels like play dough.
5. Knead for a few minutes.
*We made 2 batches. One Green and one blue.

The last picture shows what the cream of tartar looks like. I bought mine at the Rural King farm store, but Walmart also carries it.

Step 2: Play

Store in plastic bags or an air tight container for up to 6 months.
