This Instructable brought to you by my 12 year old daughter.
Hello readers before we get too far into this indestructible I think you should know a little more about me. Three words that would describe me are : Creative, Chatty and Fidgety. I can't stay still for too long without doing something so I make a bracelets, paint a rocks, knit or crochet something. This is a great thing to do while you were camping or to decorate your backyard I do this all the time when I'm camping and leave the rocks that I paint there for other people to find and maybe have fun with them!!!!!!:) :)
Step 1: Things That You Will Need to Make Your Rocks Super Cool
This is a very secret list of things. It will take you a very long time to find all of these things, they're all very very very rare.
Here we go you will need a scrap cloth or paper towel to work on so you don't make a mess, some paints (acrylic would be best), paint brushes, a plaque and most importantly ROCKS!!! :)
Step 2: Let's Get to the Painting
Using one of these puffy paint brushes paint the first coat of paint on your rock. Let it dry for 5-7 minutes. Then paint on another coat , I did about 3 coats of paint on my rock I guess it just depends on how dark you want your rock to be. Don't be afraid to mix Colors. I did. I mixed some light blue some dark blue and a little bit of white.
Step 3: Painting the Tree
Using any of your other paint brushes make a thick line about halfway up your rock. If you have a tall rock you might make it thinner, if you have a short rock you might want to make it fatter. If you'd like lots of branches maybe make it less than halfway.
Step 4: Giving Your Tree Some Branches
You can make as many or as little branches as you'd like I did about six main branches and two little branches on each one that would be 12 little branches in total.
Finished your tree painted rock decoration !!!!
Step 5: Doing Another
Find another rock if you can flat and oval shaped rock would be best for this painting.
Step 6: Painting ................ Again :)
Take the color of your choice and cover the rock in that colour. Then let it dry for 5 to 7 minutes. I used pink. I made it with the red and the white. Then make a line down the middle of your rock with a circle on the end for the head.
Step 7: Finishing Touches
Add wings. I used yellow. You can make them any colour you'd like. To make the wings just make 4 ovals the top two a little longer then the bottom two.
You finished your dragonfly garden decoration !!!!
Step 8: Last Step
All your work has paid off, you made two very beautiful garden decorations. A tree and a dragonfly.
Now put them somewhere in your garden for your visitors to find or when you go camping leave the rocks there for the next campers to find !!!! :)
