How to Make Shoes Out of a Pair of Jeans

Video tutorial on how to make shoes out of a pair of old jeans.

Step 1: What You'll Need

Sewing machine
Jeans
Cardboard
Shoes soles
Chalk
Pins

Step 2: Step 1

Trace a pair of shoes (flip flops work best) onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out.

Step 3: Step 2

Cut of the end of the pant legs slightly longer than the cardboard you just cut out and turn them inside out.

Step 4: Step 3

Trace the cardboard previously cut out onto the pant legs with chalk.

Step 5: Step 4

Cut out pierce about 1/2 inch around pattern and pin together

Step 6: Step 5

Sew along chalk line.
Leave a slit unseen just large enough to fit cardboard and shoe sole inside.

Step 7: Step 6

Turn inside out and then slide the cardboard and shoe sole inside and hand sew the rest of it up.

Step 8: Step 7

Cut out both jean pockets.
Slide the toe of the shoe sole into the pocket facing up and sew together.

Step 9: Finished!
