hey i just made my own kind of dart. it is great. it would be mainly used for hunting mice. anything bigger and it wouldnt kill it. these are good darts that penitrate or stick into anything but metal and brick. they dont get dull so you can shoot them as many time as you want just dont shoot it at anything it wont stick into or it will break if u want me to tell u how to make them i will post them in like ten minutes but i dont have any pics sorry. plz comment.

i know its a bit old, but why not use bamboo skewers? just filter them for straightness.

Anyone know any material i could use as the "barrel" cause i cant use sharp objects and i dont think siccors will cut metal
3500 in reply to Name goes HereDec 5, 2010. 5:55 PM
go to home depot. in one section they should have 3 foot metal steel tubing with a 1 cm diameter. its the perfect barrel.
Mythbuster009 in reply to Name goes HereDec 31, 2009. 1:39 PM
You could get a long cardboard tube, like the ones found in giftwrap.

Gmastefluffy, i do agree with you. There are way too many blowgun instructables. HOWEVER, that being said, at least have the decency to acknowledge Corteztheflame's efforts for putting up this fine instructable ( i really do like it )
kibbler in reply to ichipoodleOct 19, 2008. 6:01 PM
How could you? Blowguns are silent, powerful, and lethal. Do you like to hurt people? Then use a poison dart.
nkk07 in reply to ichipoodleJan 9, 2008. 7:26 AM
theres too many knex guns too 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 ar really baaad

grut125 says: Sep 15, 2008. 6:29 PM
it probly would be better to use a small width pvc pipe instead of a flimsy stray
Arianovan says: Aug 14, 2008. 5:21 PM
You and I both use a dremal tool, coolio.
Arianovan in reply to ArianovanAug 14, 2008. 5:19 PM

Gmastefluffy says: Feb 4, 2007. 7:10 PM
Im sorry , is anyone else sick of blow gun instructables?
--Thatguy-- says: Feb 4, 2007. 12:52 AM
this is better than urs oko, i kno from look that ur quiver isnt that good and putty would hold better than sponge, ur too full of urself
okoshima says: Feb 2, 2007. 5:17 PM
my quiver is better, also the darts suck, and the blowgun sucks, use pvc pipe and about 4/5 feet of it. darts with toothpic tips come on they will last 2/3 shots tops, there are better on here
Corteztheflame (author) in reply to okoshimaFeb 2, 2007. 7:47 PM
I tried your sponge method, and the darts kept falling out
Corteztheflame (author) in reply to okoshimaFeb 2, 2007. 7:45 PM
the first dart i made has lasted at least 100 shots
Weissensteinburg in reply to okoshimaFeb 2, 2007. 7:01 PM
Maybe you should read the little red/pink box under the comment box again?
Weissensteinburg says: Feb 1, 2007. 7:27 PM
That is..SO COOL How long is the rod you used?
Corteztheflame (author) in reply to WeissensteinburgFeb 1, 2007. 9:34 PM
About a foot long
Weissensteinburg in reply to CorteztheflameFeb 2, 2007. 5:21 AM
