Introduction: How to Make a Foreign Language Booklet

This is a booklet to help everyone learn the letters or characters of a specific language just as most kindergarteners learn the alphabet!

Step 1: Choose Desired Language

For example, the language shown is Modern Standard Arabic.

Step 2: Compile Letters/characters

You can google your language on Google and find an image or look on Wikipedia.

Step 3: Find Pictures

After finding the letters/characters, find an image or something that can be connected to each character. Above is an example of what you can do: add the character, along with the whole word and a picture of the word.

Step 4: Time to Make It!

After compiling what you will need, you can begin creating on your desired software (Google Docs for example). When creating your booklet, you cannot do them in order of 1,2,3… You must do the first and the last on one and work your way in (second with the second to last, third with the third to last, and so on)

Step 5: Print It!

After creating your booklet on your desired software, you can now print it.

Step 6: Assemble the Book

After printing, you put it together! For the example booklet, the pages are front and back, so you must match them in the correct order before stapling it together, as when you print them, they will only be one sided.

Step 7: Keep It Together!

After getting the characters in the right order front to back, you can now staple. We used a booklet stapler so we wouldn’t wrinkle the paper.

Step 8: Share With the World!

Your book is now complete! May people find your work as awesome as you do! :)

I think I need to show this to some high school foreign language teachers I know. The could have each student or pair make their own. It could introduce the alphabet or it could be used to review what they had already learned--2nd years could make them for the 1st years.
