Step 2: Record it!

So, you're going to need a microphone to record your podcast. It doesn't matter how good it is! You can use a really expensive microphone, or a really cheap one. I use a cheap headset mic that I got for $15. You're also going to need some sort of audio editing software. The one I use is Audacity, but if you have a Mac, you can use GarageBand. If you're willing to shell out the cash, you can get Adobe Audition. Now, all of these programs can record audio into your computer box thingy, so you don't need anything else to record. Also, to be a little less of a douchbag, you may want a pair of headphones.
btw hes podcasting about the mail time song...lol

I doubt you would know this but I have a question. Me and my computer teacher are working on a website and using strictly HTML. The only thing we are having trouble with is RSS. Since we aren't using a premade template like Blogger, we have no idea how to do RSS with HTML. Any help?
I can help.

Here is a template for the RSS file (code is not mine):

My Program

My first podcast

Todays Radio Show - Monday

Here is my Monday podcast. Hope you like it.

*

(* Make sure you express the date in the format of: Day:Date:Month:Year: hh:mm:ss . Also, you have to tell what timezone you are in, relative to GMT)

Just fill in the relevant fields with your information.

Here is a site that will make the file for you: http://podcast.redevelopments.co.uk/

Either way, validate it here:http://rss.scripting.com/

And here is my How to podcast instructable. It may be helpful too: http://www.instructables.com/id/How_to_podcast_1/
sorry man, no clue. I'd surf the web and maybe send an email to a podcast that does that. Good luck, and if you figure it out, write an instructable! Sorry I couldn't help :(
P.S. Nickelodeon, please don't sue me!
Good instructable, but I would go more in-depth with publishing to iTunes, because you need special tags in your feed for iTunes to pick up on. I would also include this link on how to make a compatible podcast to publish to iTunes.
That's true, but that's if you are creating your own XML feed. WordPress and FeedBurner do a lot of that for you, however I don't know about Blogger. I did add the link however :)
