Does this work with the ti-84 plus ce?
So having a problem, when I try to install anything I get the error "sorry. It appears that (insert program here) was created for another calculator and does not work on TI-84 Plus CE - 5320. We cannot send it

The problem is that you have a CE edition, I have the same. Sicne the screen resolutions are different, many programs are not compatable.

It's also possible to play original gameboy games on a ti-84 cse as well by using ti-boy.

thank you

My calculator says Err: Archived everytime i try to play a game and it gives me the options of 1: Quit and 2: Goto and when i try to play a game thats not archived it says error syntax. Help please

Will this mess up my calculator in any way? I don't want a $120 calculator to only be able to play video games.

no, it just takes up space therefore slowing down your calculator

will the fx 83gt plus work??

i downloaded it onto the calculator... ion that is... and once i click on it it dosnt say ion installed... *frustration*

Need help. After pressing enter with the program "Ion", my calculator keeps displaying "Syntax Error" instead of "Done." Can someone please help me?

Ion is made for ti-83, not 84. Get DoorsCS7 for 84

Help please? i keep trying to add not only ion but doors CS, but it will not allow me to set to RAM.
Yes, i tried the button on the right, and nothing happened. I can only send it to "archive."
How can i fix this?

I get the exact same thing, and I don't know how to fix it.

The Archive is the ram. On newer versions of TI Connect and the calculator, Flash/Archive is what you want, not the RAM. It's no different, his version is just older. They seperated the Flash/Archive and RAM, so Flash/Archive is where the apps and programs are actually located.

i try to install the program but then it tells me there is an err: syntax I NEED HELP!

Does it work for the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition?

OMG, it friggin cleared my ram. AHHH, i spent an hour putting all those in =____=

Every one just get Mirage OS, it is so much easier because you send all your games to your ram. Some examples of games you can play are mario and tetris. it organizes it into one folder. so get mirage os ok

THere's no mario

it keeps clearing my ram =_____= someone help please?
Yea, mine too. What I did was back everything up in TI-Connect and click restore when it gets cleared.
well, why don't put all the stuff in archive? Go to the memory menu, let you display all and then press enter to archive it.
Ion can't handle archived games, but a other program that can't be deleted via ram-clears called DoorsCS can, it has also a lot more features than Ion. It can be found here: http://www.cemetech.net/scripts/countdown.php?/83plus/asm/shells/dcs7.zip&location=wiki
Yes, but if if you put it in archive, when you have to clear your ENTIRE memory for quizzes, tests, midterms or finals, you will still lose it, unless your school is pretty slack and doesn't make you clear you calculator.
Then get zStart (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/429/42907.html), make it run on ram clears, get Omnicalc (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/226/22626.html) and activate the memory protection, now go to zStart and insert all Omnicalc hooks, try to put zStart again before you hand in the calculator. You'll notice that people can't visit any-more the reset menu. :)
Or use Mirage, you can set it up so when you clear the memory, it clears the memory without removing Mirage and all the games, and still displays the message all the teachers look for. You still have to be able to visit the reset menu, otherwise the teachers will just take the calculator away then you better be able to do math in your head, and fast.
It also works perfectly if you go to memory > Group > new group > add+ > press "right arrow" > press "enter". It comes with the calculator, and stays there even if the calculator is reset. To get it all put back just go back to memory > group > ungroup > select your group > press "3".
But if all your memory is deleted the groups are as well. I found a little program to overgo really EVERYTHING:
http://www.brandonw.net/calculators/fake/
Well, I didn't try it out yet thought.

Great for Ti-83, but doesn't work for 84

ion is made for TI-83 calculators

my computer wont connect with my calculator even though i downloaded ti connect and like it cant find it or something.

Your calculator has to be on, you know it right?

Every time I try to put the three ion files on my calculator, as in right clicking them, there's no option to send to my calculator, and if I try to open one, Windows Explorer stops working and restarts. If anybody is still here to answer questions, please help?

every time i go to transfer ION to my calculator. it says "access denied" does anyone know how to get past this? its driving me crazy
i got the same prob when u figure it out plz contact me and i will do da same wit u
Texas Instruments has recently added anti-gaming firmware to their calculators. This means you will not be able to install ION or anything like that to your calculator unless you convert your calculator to a previous version. An example a calculator with this is: TI-84 C Silver Edition
how do i convert? Do i have to buy a new one?

Try and find an older OS for your calculator and then use the "restore" function of TI connect to add the old OS

It won't even find my calculator
Hey man , did you find out how to do it ? im getting the same problem now :(

it wont let me download the 'Software that will allow you to mannage data on your calc ', i do have the Ti-84 Plus C Silver Edition, but i did try to download the correct software for it and it didn't work, what do i do to get games on mine now?
http://tiwizard.com/downloads/view.php?id=44ive noticed alot of people are having problems with ION... I really recommend you dont download ion. instead of downloading ION, download doors cs. just search it on google and you should find a place where you can download it. its basically the same thing as ion but its more organized and easier to use. once you have download it on your calculator just go to your applications and select it.

another problem people might have once they get the games downloaded is that doring gameplay the screen will be all wavy and slanted. this is caused by cheap screens in the calculators. so if this happens to you go here http://tiwizard.com/downloads/view.php?id=44 just run this in doors cs/mirash os/ION and your screen should be fixed...until a ram clear. if that happens just run this program again and it will work again.

btw if you get a syntax error you are not downloading the games properly... you need to open the compresed file, read the instructions more carefully

oh and make sure you backup your files on your computer using ti connect. i am almost cretain you will have to redownload everything at some point. sometimes something will mess up on the calculator and corrupt data. if something bad happens and your calculator starts to function improperly immediately erase everything ont the calculator to prevent any perminent dammage to your calculator. if you dont know how do delete everything press the 2nd button, press the + button with mem wriiten above it in blue or purple.. srry im colorblind, scroll down the page with the arrow buttons and select 7: Reset..., now at the top of the screen it should say RAM ARCHIVE ALL, press the right arrow twice so ALL is highlited, hit enter, now it should have a last warning about what will happen if you delete everything and select RESET. now your calculater should only do math problems so just hook it up to the computer and restore everything that was origionally on there.

i hope this will help some people and if you have a question or need help on something just tell me. I have downloaded many games on my calculator and have had it for about a year now... just make sure your questions are about the games on the calculator, i barely know how the math solving part works:)
it says incompatible device when i try to send it to my ti-84 plus C silver edition, please help
