Thank you so much for speeding up your video.<br> <br> I eat it a little differently.&nbsp; I don't cut it around the equator like you do.&nbsp; I cut down through the poles.&nbsp; Then I cut it in quarter slices and then 1/8 slices.&nbsp; I am usually in a hurry (and by myself) so I suck the grapefruit off the rind leaving 8 pieces of rind to throw away.&nbsp;<br> <br> The secret to getting excellent, sweet, thin skinned citrus is to make sure the skin has no indented pores.&nbsp; The skin should be as smooth as possible.&nbsp; You should be able to see spots where pores might have been but for the thinnest skin, no pores.&nbsp; Grapefruit should look squatty (bigger around in the middle than around the poles).&nbsp;
:) Thanks for commenting and for the great tips on how to choose great grapefruit. My husband and I both love grapefruit. I will definitely remember to look for the good ones the next time I do grocery shopping!
