This Instructable will show you how to turn a pile of coin wrappers into some cool pieces of jewelry. I decided to make these out of chocolate coin wrappers because my family bought two huge tubs of coins to give out as gifts at a party, which we were then not able to go to. We've been eating chocolate coins for months! We have so many wrappers from these that I could probable make hundreds of earrings! This is an easy project that will eat up about two hours of your time, it is also a great way to recycle!

Step 1: Materials

For this Instructable you will need:
1. A lot of chocolate coin wrappers
2. Fishing line (or anything else sturdy and stringy)
3. Siscors
4. Hole punch
5. Needle
6. Earring hooks
7. Cardboard (optional)

Step 2: Eat Some Chocolate!!!

It took a lot of wrappers to make these, so eat up! I would suggest saving them for a while.

Step 3: Tie Off Your Line

Tie a knot in the end of the fishing line, this will keep your "beads" from sliding off the end.

Step 4: Making Beads

Take one of your wrappers and punch as many holes in it as possible. The circles that came from those holes are your beads. If you like the way the wrappers look after being punched, you can use it as a "bead" on a necklace or something.

Step 5: Poking Holes

The esiest way to get your "beads" onto the line is to poke holes in them with a needle, then manually slide them onto the line. Threading the needle doesn't work as well because of two things: 1) The eye will make too big of a hole in the bead and make it more likely to tear, and 2) It makes it really really hard to poke holes in the beads. To poke the holes, I suggest that you use a piece of cardboard. Poke a hole ing the cardboard with the needle, then slide a "bead" over it and poke it again with the needle. There are many other ways to do this, but this was the simplest way that I could think of that didn't do any damage to the "bead".

Step 6: Putting Your Beads on the Line

Time to start assembling your earrings! Take your fishing line and start sliding beads onto it. This takes awhile so I suggest to avoid boredom by poking the hole then sliding it on, then poking a hole and sliding it on. Don't do it all at once. You can add other shapes cut from the wrappers if you want, and your finished product doesn't have to be circular, BE CREATIVE!!!!! When you have it the length you want it tie off the end.

Step 7: Time to Tie!

If you want yours in a circle, cross the ends and tie in a knot, this should make a circular shape. If you want a line just leave it. After doing what ever tying you feel nessecary tie you creating to the earring hook. (Sorry I don't have any pictures of this step :-P)
