Introduction: How to Rig an Easy Booby Trap

I sometimes have problems with people in my family (mainly my sister) coming into my room uninvited and stealing things like movies and such. So I rigged up a simple but very effective booby trap based on a trap called the Tiger Trap (a type of dead fall) that was used by the Viet Cong in the Vietnam War. This booby trap is designed for doorways but can be adapted to just about anything. Please do not leave any rude comments, criticism is okay and questions are accepted and replied to as soon as I can.

Step 1: Materials

1) Fishing Wire
2) One Plastic Tube or Container
3) One Empty Scotch Tape Spool
4) Copy Paper

Step 2: Tools

1) One Knife or Scissors
2) Clear Duct Tape

Step 3: Assembly

First, cut out two one by one inch squares from the copy paper. Roll them both into cylinders and tape them. Tape one of the cylinder horizontally to the right hand lower side of the doorway about where you want the trip wire to go. Tape the other cylinder at the top right hand corner of the doorway vertically but angled slightly to the left (like the picture). Next, tape the scotch tape roll to the ceiling about three inches away from the wall (again look at the picture).

Step 4: Assembly (Continued)

Cut a six inch section of fishing wire and tape one end to the base of the plastic container (try to find a container like mine, it works best). Tape the other end to the ceiling about four inches away from the scotch tape spool. Tape the end of your spool of fishing wire opposite your horizontal cylinder and measure out how much wire you need to pass through all the pieces and get to your container. Cut the wire and string it through your pieces and tape it to the plastic container. Pull the slack out of your wire to where the container is about tong the tape spool.

Note: I know this is hard to follow but bear with me and consult the pictures and diagram.
