How to Submit to the Instructables Community Blog

How to Submit to the Instructables Community Blog
The Instructables Community Blog is a series of posts made by members of Instructables.com, and reflects a wide variety of viewpoints and topics. The last five posts can be seen on the Instructables homepage in the right sidebar under the contests section, and the most recently commented on post can be seen by clicking "More Community Topics" on the homepage or in the Community Blog listing.

The Instructables homepage is the most highly trafficked page of Instructables.com, and the Community Blog topics are some of the most highly discussed. Typically, Community Blog topics have a how-to or DIY component to them, but the Instructables community is interested in lots of things. Topics that have done really well in the past include the environment, open-source, cool projects and how-to's from other websites, technology in our culture, artistic displays (especially ones with a how-to or shoe-string budget angle), notifications of local events, and discussions of how Instructables is impacting the world.

So, if you've found a cool project, have something on your site or blog, know of a local event of interest to Instructables members, or would like to submit anything else to the Community blog, do so by submitting a new forum topic. You can also click "Submit" in the navigation links at the top of the page in the header. Make sure to include a picture, and if our editors find it a good fit, we'll feature it to the homepage (and you'll get an email letting you know to look for it on the homepage). Featured or not, your topic will still appear in the Instructables forums and is sure to spark an interesting discussion.

as always, Eric, you continue to impress. and for everyone that reads this, take caution - when Eric says interesting discussion, he means it. i've participated in quite a few bizarre, lengthy, and heated forums. it is a great way to spread knowledge and compare ideas. keep up the good work everybody!
