First of all I would like to apologise for the lack of uploads, I've been inactive for a few months because of school and developing my business. Because of this I will be grinding out alot more posts, starting with the website builder tutorials, this will range from Wix to Adobe muse. Thank you all for your understanding and patience. LETS GET STARTED.

Today we will be taking a look at the very popular Wordpress. I will be showing you how to set up the website and use the builder. Wordpress is a thirteen year old online site builder, it is still in active development, Wordpress is mainly used for blogging purposes and is a very popular among the blogging community.

Step 1: Creating the Site

On the front page of Wordpress click the button that says "Get Started"

Step 2: What Is Your Site About?

Once you have clicked the "Get Started" button it should come up with a menu asking you what your site will be used for. So simpily choose the purpose of your site.

Step 3: What Would You Like Your Homepage to Look Like?

Choose what your home page should look like and how it works. You should think about what is easiest for the viewers of your site.

Step 4: Choosing Your Theme

When choosing your sites theme you should always consider how you want people to see your site, for example bright and happy, sleek and profesional eg. Choosing the right theme can be really hard sometimes so its good to remember that you can always change your theme later.

Step 5: Picking Your Domain

Wordpress offers free sub-domains, for example

JohnSmith.wordpress.com

Sub-domains are the best bet if your are making a personal site, or if its your first time making a site.

Simply type the name of your soon to be site in the bar under the "lets find a domain".

Step 6: Selecting Your Domain

To choose your domain simply clicke the button to the right of your dersired domain.

Step 7: Well Done!

From her on it is pretty easy. Just pick your plan and sign up.

Thank you for all the support over the last few months that I have been inactive. Like I said I will be crunching out a lot of tutorials for the next few days and will be releasing my upload schedule. Thank You.

sincerely,

Archer
