Step 1 Get a Basket of Dirty Laundry

First, look through your house for dirty laundry and place in a basket.

so, your instructable seems pretty basic (which is fine - there are plenty of people who need to start with just the basics).

though, I would suggest adding in some stuff that completely clueless people might need, like how much laundry makes up a 'load' - do you just jam it in untill the lid won't close, and then pull out a couple of things?

and maybe a few other things, like dropping the powdered detergent in the bottom before putting in the laundry (for top-loaders w/out a special fill tray thingy), and maybe even running some water first. 

maybe some tips on stain removal?

i don't know what else (I'm at about the bare minimum of laundry knowledge necessary to use a washing machine...), but try to think of it step by step, and whatever you may take for granted that isn't obvious, or on the instructions on either the bottle of detergent or the washing machine, or whatever...

 Yeah like the most important info for us laundry dummies is what temerature  for whites and lights and darks etc...

I'm not sure what a person is supposed to gain from this. The machine pictured appears to have several options & settings but you don't mention any of them.
