so, your instructable seems pretty basic (which is fine - there are plenty of people who need to start with just the basics).

though, I would suggest adding in some stuff that completely clueless people might need, like how much laundry makes up a 'load' - do you just jam it in untill the lid won't close, and then pull out a couple of things?

and maybe a few other things, like dropping the powdered detergent in the bottom before putting in the laundry (for top-loaders w/out a special fill tray thingy), and maybe even running some water first. 

maybe some tips on stain removal?

i don't know what else (I'm at about the bare minimum of laundry knowledge necessary to use a washing machine...), but try to think of it step by step, and whatever you may take for granted that isn't obvious, or on the instructions on either the bottle of detergent or the washing machine, or whatever...
