Makes sense to me. Chocolate is a mild abrasive. Also, the sugar is going to be rinsed off. I think it's a great idea for an emergency toothpaste.

Right now, though, I hear that the price of chocolate is skyrocketing, so I don't know how practical a substitute it would be currently. You can find decent toothpaste at the dollar store. But when you run out, and you have no baking soda which is also a good substitute, then why not?
