How to build a Wearable car stereo

Step 3Learn to wear it!

Learn to wear it!
It takes a while to get used to. It took me a week before I could take it off like a pair of headphones. (as fast.) Just play around with it for a while.

What you want to do when you first get it on is lift up the speaker on the side that the wires come from, and bring them under it so that you are holding them from the front, then bring them down through your shirt. Connect them to the amp using it's quick connect ports. (won't go much higher than 18 AWG...) then connect the amp to a male to male 1/8 cord and stick it in your pocket. It should fit. If it doesn't, you need baggier or just plain bigger pants. run the cord through your belt loops and into your opposite pocket, where it should be connected to an MP3 player (if your pants could fit a CD player the amp should be no problem.). Get used to the slight increase in weight, and the tolerance for fast, jerky movements it has, See how loud you can push it before you go deaf... and then you're all set! If you still feel like going out in public wearing this thing that is.

If you are as pissed as I was that fresh AA's only last an hour at max volume, you can get a couple of lantern batteries and power it that way (see my other instructable), or even get an SLA and put it in another pocket, maybe get a fanny pack... Your leg's strength's the limit...
