Now use the rafter ties to attach your platform to the 2 x 10s that you screwed to the tree. Add the joist hangers. Use galvanized nails to attach these, not screws.

why cuz nails and not screws? is that to allow for movement, again?

Joist hangers are designed for nails because they have much better shear strength than screws of the same diameter (not to mention easier and cheaper to use). They make a very secure joint that doesn't move at all.
