Step 3Open the tank
If you put the tank back in the cage it makes this step easier.
With a vivid marker, mark a line just below where the curve of the top starts. You can use the lip of the cage as a reference for your line.
Cut the top off with a hand saw.
Save the top to use as an insulated lid.
