This is main mechanical part you will need to make the robot.

You can find this sort of gear in VCR. Search garage sale or ask familly and friends.
The DVD is already obsolete thank to the BluRay, imagine how obsolete is the VCR! :P

Hello Jerome , Can i use the h-bridge using the 2n3904 and 2n3906 from beam online instead of the bicore ? Also do i have to insert a nail as in the last step . because the gear motor does not have a stop tab . Thanks.

hello jerome , i breadboarded the h-bridge circuit and it didn't work . then i realised that i had made a mistake in the connection of the transistors. i put the all emitters in place of collectors . i have read that connecting transistors wrong way cause them to destroy. will i have to buy new ones ? pls help. Thanks
