I'm a huge super capacitor fan. I am always playing with them, charging them, blowing them up, using them to power ALL sorts of awesome stuff, etc! A friend of mine asked me to show her how to charge a super cap using a hand crank dynamo, so I made this tutorial video. I hope you enjoy it. It talks about what you need to create the circuit, and how it all works.
IT IS VERY, VERY EASY! All you'll need are the following items:
1) Hand Crank Dynamo (DC generator)
2) A Super Capacitor
3) A Diode
4) A Digital Multimeter
I've written a practical guide to super capacitors instructable for those of you who are new to the wonderful world of super capacitors. It can be found here: http://www.instructables.com/id/Lets-learn-about-Super-Capacitors-A-Practical-G/
