Here I will show you how to convert youtube videos for storage on your computer

In this instructable we will be using the programs, firstly, Ares Tube. this is a freeware program, i dont use it much as i use the Download helper for firefox this is great because it works with basically every site.

you can download ares tube from this site

to download youtube videos by far the best in the entire universe is ImToo YouTube video convertor. it is meant to cost about $29 but, just type serials into google and use your common sense from there. to download the free 'trial' goto this site and download the free trial. when it installed click 'tools' > 'enter activation' and using the information listed above do your thing.

ok, download it from the link in the first step.

then install it. you might want to install the convertor, this is useful if you dont have a dedicated video convertor (like imtoo mpeg encoder ultimate) if you dont have this or any other then you will only be able to use it in the format that it was on the site (e.g. .flv for youtube) to get the convertor click tools > add-ons > and then click on the extensions tab > then options in the download helper section > then on the far right tab click on conversion > then at the bottom right there is like an install/get convertor button , click on that. then you can make your own rules on what formats you want it to be converted to automatically (like .avi) i dont use the convertor as it is not as good quality as my $55 package.

simple as that (if you think that that is simple)

This is a great Instructable, but you need to add a main image of the final project to the intro step. Please do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks!

Also, are you really sure the serials bit should be left in? Just a thought.

Easy. Just locate the movie file you have on your computer. Look and see what the file extension is and type in google search.

Example: if it is a Windows Movie file type - .wmv to .mp4 software free
Example: if it is a Quiktime Movie File type - .mov to .mp4 software free
mp4 is file extension that iPod/iTunes recognizes for movies
