Introduction: How to Cook “Hiyashi Chuka”

“Hiyashi Chuka” is a cold Japanese dish with “Ramen” noodles and various toppings.

It is a very typical noodle dish served during theyears ago.

Step 1: ​“Ramen” Noodle

“Ramen” noodle is boiled and then cooled in ice cold water, and placed on a dish, usually not as deep as regular “Ramen” bowl.

Popular toppings include, egg crepe strips, cucumber, ham, and bean sprouts.

Others include,tomato, steamed chicken, and seaweed, etc…depending on restaurants or homes.

Step 2: Toppings

Toppings are usually stripped and placed neatly on top of the noodles, as seen in the picture.

Soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame based cold dressing is poured over the noodles and toppings.

It is also common to put some “Karashi” mustard as a supplement.
