Following on from the robust 90degree joint in cardboard, is the sublime curved joint. This video shows how to get a very smooth curve in cardboard, which underpins more complex techniques to come. In woodworking, that is called "kerning" and it how you create a curved surface in woods you can steam bend. Never occurred to me to apply it to cardboard.

You could probably make a cylinder if you we're skilled enough.

Thanks for the info. I did not know the term as it happens. btw - have you used 'Bendy Board' as a quick prototyping materials for stuff like this in wood?

As for Cylinders - very easy to work this technique into it - as show in a picture from Boon Chew - who attended my workshop last Saturday in London.
