How to cure a hangover

Step 3After

After
Hydrate
Drink a quart of water, juice, or a sports drink. You've just dehydrated yourself so if you were not planning ahead by drinking water before and during you need to catch up now. A Pedialyte freezer pop is the only commercial product that makes sense to substitute for downing fluids. Most hangover helpers are just providing electrolytes along with the water you drink to provide the same recovery help as a simple glass of juice.

Fortify
Take a multivitamin instead of aspirin or acetaminophen. You have probably urinated plenty so the vitamins in your system have been flushed.

Eat
Many people swear by eating something before going to bed after a night of heavy drinking. A slice of bread is often suggested.

Pretty sure you don't want to drink pickle juice to hydrate. It's salt water which will definitely dehydrate you. That was pretty funny though. :)

From what I've read you should avoid acetaminophen (tylenol) altogether when alcohol is involved.  It's been found to exacerbate the liver damage the booze is doing.  Stick to ibuprofen or aspirin.

 ibuprofen IS tylenol
its just a brand name, ibuprofen is literally the name of the chemical you are ingesting

ibuprofen is a different medicine than acetaminophen it still has acetaminophen in it but it is a different drug. ibuprofen is not as bad because it doesn't have a lot of acetaminophen but yes it will make you worse rather than make you better

That doesn't even make sense. Acetaminophen and ibuprofen are different but ibuprofen still has acetaminophen in it? I'm pretty sure there is no truth to that (at least I couldn't find any evidence of it.)
I took a look at the back of a product containing acetaminophen and ibuprofen. The acetaminophen product had warnings all over it about liver damage, including not to take more than 4000mg per day (4 doses, 8 extra strength tablets,) and not to take if you drink 3 or more drinks per day.
I didn't see any mention of liver damage or alcohol on the ibuprofen bottle.

Uh huh...  Pretty sure Tylenol is Acetominophen, not ibuprofen.

Advil is the major name brand of ibuprofen.

L-cysteine or N-acetyl cysteine should be taken after drinking. I can't believe this got featured and this wasn't mentioned.
