How to do 3D Anamorphic Artwork and Sidewalk, Street, and Driveway Art

Step 3: Add perspective to object and black grid.

stretchlighter.jpg
Now, using the Add Perspective Effect.
I lined up the black grid with the blue grid, as shown.
I used a lot of pushing, pulling and nudging the nodes in
Add Perspective mode.

This would be the printed image, you would bring to the
sidewalk to draw from.

Draw a grid on the side walk, then copy the lighter into
the grid!
You would want to draw your grid very lightly, so you could
erase or chalk in with the driveway color.

You could also make your grid from some pinstripe tape.
Then peel the tape up, after you have a good sketch done of
your artwork.

Pretty simple, eh...

Hello,
Yes, you would have to draw a grid on the sidewalk with your chalk, then draw your drawing on the grid.
Hope this helps.

Thanx 4 the posts but how you changed the black lined grid in the perspective view becus for sidewalk paintings, we should shape it according to the viewer's height and the distance from the bottom of the black grid. How to be sure abt it ?

hmmm thanx for the tut ^^ but just wondering how you keep the same height (same size) of the original object and the size of the drawing the same?
Greasetattoo (author) in reply to cookie and creamMar 4, 2011. 5:16 AM
I don't really understand your question.

I will look like it is the same height, with the perspective..

hmmm like if i take a picture of a say a coke can then uploaded it on my pc and added perspective of it then print it on a a4 pg will the scaling the the same? like do i have to enlarge the perspective drawing on the pc to make it the same life scale as the real coke can?
Greasetattoo (author) in reply to cookie and creamMar 6, 2011. 5:18 AM
No...
The perspective should be correct, no matter what size you make it!
Hope this helps.

Hey, quick question. I am using corelx4 and it will not let me use the add perspective effect once I group the object with the black grid. Any suggestions? Great work by the way.

Is it, a bitmap, that you are trying to Add Perspective to? If it is, then you have to convert the bitmap to vectors. Go to the Bitmap menu, and choose Trace Bitmap. That should solve your problem.. Don't forget to vote for me! Thanks!
