Introduction: How to Embed a Video on Instructables

About: I post updates on twitter and instagram: @amandaghassaei
Sometimes the best way to convey an idea in an Instructable is to show a video.  This tutorial will guide you through the process of finding your video's embed code and pasting it in the correct place in your Instructable.

You can embed video in all three types of Instructables: Step by Step, Photo, and Video.

For Step By Step and Photo Instructables:
-In these types of Instructables you will need to embed your video directly into the editor.  Find the embed video icon at the top of the editor it looks like a strip of film (see figure 3)
-Clicking on the embed video icon will open another window with the prompt "Paste Embed Code Here" (figure 4)
-Go you your video and find the "Share" or "Embed" button (figures 5 and 7)
-Copy the embed code, it should start and end with "iframe" (figures 6 and 8), include the surrounding brackets
-Go back to the Instructables editor and paste the embed code (figure 9)
-You will see a box with an "IFRAME" label in the editor window (figure 10), this is where your video will show up when you publish the Instructable.

For Video Instructables
-Go you your video and find the "Share" or "Embed" button (figures 5 and 7)
-Copy the embed code, it should start and end with
"iframe" (figures 6 and 8), include the surrounding brackets
-Paste the embed code in the box labeled "Embed Video Code" in the Instructables editor (figure 11)
