It may sound a bit too much, but Windows 7's God Mode is indeed omnipresent. It puts hundreds of settings from all around the operating system all in one place. Making you God. Of your little computer. Good job.

Step 1: Create a Folder

To turn on God Mode create a new folder on your desktop, or anywhere you'd like.

Step 2: Rename Folder

Then rename the New Folder to "GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}" Don't include the quotations.

Step 3: Enjoy

The resulting folder will contain 270 items, representing virtually every configurable option in Windows 7.

Step 4:

For those who want to know, Windows 10 Pro is 233 settings.

Also these settings are already all accessible, but you have to hunt for them, and they are nested in folders, or not all in the same palce

This works on Windows 10 as well.

great trick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great work bro...Thanks.

How this ting works

Beautiful trick! You can find everything in your system, but this is a time saver!

Excellent tutorial and very easy! Thanks!

Wonderful!!! Thank you very much!

Wonderful!!!! Personalization and fixes all in one place!! Thank you very much

amazing.. it worked perfectly!!!

Wow, it's like Control Panel (plus much more), but laid out in a way where it's easy to find stuff.
It's also interesting to note that under "properties", there are previous versions of the "folder" dating back three weeks before I actually created it ... I'll let the theologians debate that one.
Many thanks ... :-)

Very cool, Thanx!

Nice one!

Nice. This will help with my settings changes now. I have 291 items but I suspect that's due to the fact I run Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate as the only system administrator. Will be very good to use for me.

awesome worked great. I used it on Windows 8.1 and ended up with 249 instead of 270, but that will be enough to help. thanks a lot for posting this.

Like Bjcotoa Said, in renaming the folder you can "GodMode" to
anything you would like, personally i changed mine to "Expert Mode", so
the full rename line would be "Expert Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}"

".{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}"
this is a registry key that tells windows what to put in place of the
folder, you can not add to or delete anything from it, so i do not
consider it a folder.

Does it still work if you create a new notepad document rather than a new folder and rename it to "Unnecessary Comment Mode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}"?

only works with a folder

Like Bjcotoa Said, in renaming the folder you can rename "GodMode" to

sorry missed a word.

No necesita ser "GodMode" usted le da el nombre que quiera, la clave es una llave del registro

Yea like sure it is faster in the long run but how often do you need to change advanced settings?
I'm pretty sure most things can be found without godmode
Tyler, I am glad I am not the only one that noticed that.
