Step 1: Make an arduino power supply

Picture of make an arduino power supply
I used an ohm meter to figure out which wire goes to the center contact which is positive and labeled it. Label the other wire negative. I stripped the wires from an old cell phone charger. Then I put my meter to DC volt and labeled the wires and connected positive to positive and negative- negative.

Would you make the hole bigger to fix it if it was less than 1/16 wide?

Have you tried this?

yes it worked well.

Please don't take this as rude, but why would you not just buy a new tube or a patch kit. A tube costs ~$6, a patch kit ~$3. The patch kit will have several patches, so in the long run it will probably come out cheaper and more reliable.

If you have an open container of it it won't cost anything it will eventually go bad.
