Step 1: Getting RockBox

ipods.JPG
First you need something to play the game right? Nobody can hope to beam DOOM right onto their ipod right? Thought so.

1. So first determine what ipod you have (you already know that, don't you?)

2. With the name of your iPod fresh in your mind, go to http://build.rockbox.org/ and find that very iPod from the list.

3. Click on it (hardest step!)

5. You should now be downloading rockbox.........

Hello. I have a question. Does anyone know how to make the game file actually be able to save. if you do, please reply.
froggyman says: Apr 10, 2009. 8:10 AM

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginDoomYou have to put a level on your doom file so go to my link and pick both of the file links and put them in your doom file.

I have pokemon yellow and tetris DX on my Ipod now, but the music is laggy and kinda weird. Can you help, or is it just like that?
bakedleaf (author) says: Apr 10, 2008. 6:20 PM
There's not much you can do, unless you want to try iPodlinux and use iBoy, which is a better gameboy emulator
schmellyfart says: Apr 3, 2008. 9:44 PM
You can also download a doom WAD from the Rockbox site itself
gamer says: Mar 26, 2008. 4:14 PM
damn, on the site it says it works for sansa e260 v1, i have sansa e260 v2 :(. oh well...
bakedleaf (author) says: Mar 27, 2008. 6:24 PM
Don't worry, they should have one soon, In the mean time I would try the v2 on the sansa, if something goes wrong, use the patcher again and use uninstall.
gamer says: Mar 28, 2008. 12:17 PM
unfortunately, it doesnt even wanna work :( what do you mean try the v2, does that mean there is a rockbox version for v2 sansa?
gamer says: Mar 28, 2008. 12:27 PM
im gonna try to install it from ubuntu, because it doesnt work in windows...
Phantomn says: Mar 25, 2008. 1:48 PM
Alternately you could use the automated installer, which runs the bootloader for you and puts the .rockbox file on your ipod.
It can be found at http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/RockboxUtility this does it all for you. =]
bakedleaf (author) says: Mar 25, 2008. 5:06 PM
Yea You can also do this, I just chose this way since thats not 'finished' and could still have bugs. I had no problems with it but I don't want to be responsible for breaking someones iPod :P
GorillazMiko says: Mar 25, 2008. 1:20 PM
Awesome! Mannnnnn, I want a new iPod so bad...
snipegoat says: Mar 25, 2008. 11:59 AM
will it actually save game data (like for pokemon), and can you do this for a zune also. please and thank you
bakedleaf (author) says: Mar 25, 2008. 12:40 PM
it will save the game, save the game in pokemon, then it will create an autosave for the rom, so yea. And no there is no build for the Zune yet
joejoerowley says: Mar 24, 2008. 5:47 PM
